Remade

What does it mean that something is ‘remade’?

Basically, it just means that whatever it was (clothing or household object), it found its way to a thrift store/yard sale/free pile, and that’s where I found it. The vast majority of Coffee and Creatures’ wares are remade.

They get rehabilitated a number of ways:

  • clothing gets dyed, cut up, repaired, distressed, etc
  • shoes get dyed, polished, added swag, repaired, augmented
  • objects…usually get teeth, so many teeth. and eyes. teeth and eyes x 1000. sometimes, there’s a different plan, but household mimics are kinda my jam, so that’s what happens to them.
These were ordinary pins, the kind that schools and businesses and politicians use…they are not loved and cherished, but now….they’re all much more than they were!
