Why did we add a code this year? Because we want to have even more fun when hanging out with the cool people who come to the events we vend at, and this is how we plan to do it!
Table events – TBL
Tent events – TEN
Class events – CLA
TEN: TTRPG NPC nonsense inna tent
I wanted to add a bit more fun to our already fun tent events (mostly at Lunar Faire, but we do some other outdoor markets during the vending season (late April-late October). So, if you visit us at a TEN event, we’ll be roleplaying our merchant NPCs from the city of Sigil (D&D/Forgotten Realms). Since Sigil is a portal city, you can expect a mishmash of customs, things for sale, deities, clothing styles, etc etc etc, you get the picture. Feel free to roleplay back at us, or not! Your choice. It’s like Renfare-lite, you get back the energy you pitch to us. 🙂
CLA: Class event
I am also expanding into teaching classes this year, details still to be confirmed, but the loose idea is to offer zine-making classes, and classes on how to work with recycled/upcycled materials as your primary medium. These will NOT be during a regular vending event – they’re just too busy to give folks the attention they deserve in a class setting.
Those events will be coded CLA on the event calendar, and signup links & costs, etc, will be shown as well.
TBL: it’s not a mimic, it’s a table
A TBL event is a classic vendor table experience, which usually means a 6-ft table and sometimes space for a small clothing rack or grid wall with clothes on it. The really big mimics I have made are currently at Sanctorium Games in Flemington, NJ, and there is a collection of clothing & accessories at Casa Bizarro in Frenchtown, NJ.
ZINES
And if you know me, a new thing or two means a new zine (which are always free).
